Philip Ardagh and Mike Gordon
Philip Ardagh, award-winning author of ‘Grubtown Tales’ and the “Eddie Dickens” adventures (currently in over 30 languages), has been described by The Scotsman as ‘one of life’s fact-finders’. He wrote BBC radio’s first truly interactive radio drama, collaborated with Sir Paul McCartney on his first children’s book, regularly writes for (and occasionally appears on) Radio 4, and is a “regularly irregular” reviewer of children’s books for The Guardian. He’s been described as one of most entertaining authors on the literary circuit today and won the Roald Dahl Funny Prize in 2009 for “Grubtown Tales”.
Philip Ardagh and Mike Gordon are regular visitors to Henry’s House. Philip (the one with the beard) keeps a note of everything that’s going on, and even reads a mind or two. Mike (the one without the beard) sketches whatever he sees, however fantastical it may be; and together they bring you the adventures of Henry, an ordinary boy in an extraordinary house!
