Nick Dowson
Nick Dowson, now an English and Drama teacher, has had many fascinating jobs – as one of the dynamite crew for a seismic survey company, a bracken cutter, an ad sales manager and a graphic designer, to name but a few. He is passionate about natural history and very concerned about the future of the tiger. Tigress is his first book for children.
Nick lives with his partner in Suffolk. Jane Chapman does all her painting in her kitchen, looking out on the garden. She has a pet tortoise named Muggsy, who at the age of seventy is a family heirloom. She is also the illustrator of the non-fiction bestseller, The Emperor’s Egg, Winner of the 2000 TES Junior Information Book Award.
