Nick Arnold
Nick Arnold has been writing stories since he was a boy and even then his favourite topics were horrible goings-on – the more gruesome the better. So you see he hasn’t changed a bit. His first published work came about when he was working on a project teaching children about nature for the University of North London. This led on to magazine articles and one day Nick had the brilliant idea, that if he could write articles he could also write books! Since then Nick has lost count of the number of books he’s written. When he’s not writing books, Nick is constantly taking his one-person show to bookshops, libraries and festivals. The show is everything you would expect from Horrible Science, packed with revolting experiments and gory descriptions. Nick Arnold campaigned to save his village library and as a result founded the Appledore Book Festival which is now held on the premises.
